Subscription terms

Draft, pending counsel review. This page describes, in plain words, how the service works from the relaunch. A lawyer is reviewing it, and it may change before it is final.
The short version: the trial is free and ends by itself. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel online in a minute. Your data stays on Free either way.

Australian prices include GST. US prices don't include sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies. The price you'll pay, and how often, is shown again on the payment screen before you confirm.
2.The 14-day trial
Every new account gets 14 days of Premium, free, with no card. We remind you on day 12. On day 14 the account moves to Free by itself: the trial never turns into a paid plan, and nothing is deleted. One trial per person.
3.Automatic renewal
When you subscribe, you're charged straight away for the first month or year. Your subscription then renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
For yearly plans, we email you between 15 and 45 days before each renewal with the date, the price and how to cancel. You'll get a receipt by email for every payment.
4.Cancelling
Cancel online at any time: Account, then Manage subscription, then Cancel. No phone call or email is needed. If you subscribed in the App Store or Google Play, cancel in your store account settings, as with any app.
After you cancel, Premium stays on until the end of the period you've paid for. Then the account moves to Free and keeps all your data.
5.Refunds
If something went wrong, such as a charge you didn't expect or a feature that didn't work, write to support@poolalmanac.com and we'll put it right. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are refunded under Apple's or Google's rules. Your rights under consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law, always apply.
6.Founding members
The first 1,000 yearly subscribers who join by January 31, 2027 pay $29.99 a year. That price stays for as long as the subscription renews without a break. If you cancel and later subscribe again, the regular price applies. The offer is in US dollars and ends when the places are taken or the date passes, whichever comes first.
7.Price changes
If we change the price of your plan, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and the new price starts only at your next renewal. You can cancel before then. Founding-member prices don't change while you stay subscribed.
8.Pausing for the off-season
Monthly subscribers may be offered a pause instead of cancelling at the end of the season. While paused you're not charged, the account works like Free, and your history and reminders stay. The pause ends on the date shown when you choose it, and billing resumes at the same price.
9.Records and questions
