About
For people who look after their own water.
Most pool advice is either a guess or a shopping list. Pool Almanac is the calm, exact alternative: tell it your numbers and it tells you what to add, then remembers every test so next week's answer is better than this week's.
How we build it.
- 1
Answer first.
Every screen answers one question: what should I do now? The product, the amount in the units you buy it in, the order, the wait, and when to test again.
- 2
The engine computes; the AI explains.
Targets and doses come from one deterministic chemistry engine, checked against reference cases on every release. The AI coach prioritises and explains those numbers. It never invents its own.
- 3
Right for this pool.
Salt or liquid chlorine, bromine or chlorine, plaster or vinyl, indoor or out: the targets change, so the advice does too.
- 4
Thirty seconds poolside.
Logging a test takes one hand and works without a signal. The app keeps the record so you don't have to.
- 5
Honest.
No brand upsell, no fake reviews, no dark patterns. Doses name a chemical and a strength, not a product line. Tap any step to see the math.
How it's paid for
Subscriptions to Premium. We don't sell chemicals, take money from chemical makers or sell your data. The free plan stays free for one pool.
Where your data lives
On our own servers, including the AI. Your pool data isn't sent to outside AI companies, and you can export all of it, anytime, free.
No hardware to brick
It works with the test kit you already own. There's no sensor to buy, calibrate or lose when a company changes its plans.
Formerly Pool Genius
Pool Almanac used to be called Pool Genius. Another company has an earlier claim to that name, so we chose a new one we can own. Accounts, pools and history carried over unchanged, and pool-genius.app now points here.
We like the new name better anyway. An almanac is a book you keep for a year: seasons, weather, what to do and when. That's the job.
